MAACCP, offers a range of specialized training programs aimed at improving conflict resolution and fostering a respectful workplace. These include courses such as Conflict Resolution, Building a Respectful Workplace, and Transforming the Argument, among others. The training is designed to provide individuals and teams with effective skills to manage disputes, encourage mutual respect, and turn difficult conversations into productive discussions. Through this collaboration, MAACCP and Mediation Services help organizations create more positive and collaborative work environments.

Manitoba Goverment

MACCP, in partnership with the Manitoba Government, offers essential training designed to support frontline employees in Manitoba’s Child Welfare System. This training focuses on documentation practices and proper medication administration providing participants with the correct tools and techniques to ensure accurate and compliant record-keeping. Additionally, the program covers important licensing standards, detailing what Licensing Specialists look for during reviews of community care providers. It emphasizes the year-round nature of licensing responsibilities, ensuring that employees are equipped to meet expectations at any time. By offering these valuable training sessions, MACCP helps frontline staff enhance their documentation skills, ensuring better care, accountability, and adherence to regulatory standards in Manitoba’s Child Welfare System.

Living Works

MACCP, in partnership with Living Works, offers the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), a two-day interactive workshop designed to equip participants with the skills to recognize when someone may be experiencing suicidal thoughts. This training teaches participants how to engage effectively with individuals in crisis and work together to create a safety plan that supports their immediate well-being. By providing this crucial training, MACCP helps frontline workers in Manitoba’s Child Welfare System respond effectively to those at risk, ensuring they are equipped with the tools to provide life-saving support.

Therapeutic Crisis Solution (TCS)

MACCP, in partnership with Therapeutic Crisis Solutions (TCS), delivers specialized therapeutic training designed to support youth in care. Our training programs, including TCS 1, TCS 2, TCS 3, TCS Management, and TCS Onboarding, equip staff with essential skills to manage and de-escalate challenging situations using a trauma-informed approach. By emphasizing emotional regulation, de-escalation techniques, and building positive relationships, TCS and MACCP work together to ensure that caregivers and professionals create safe, nurturing environments for vulnerable youth. Through these training initiatives, we promote resilience, safety, and well-being for both youth and staff.

Manitoba Harm Reduction

MACCP partners with Harm Reduction specialists to offer training that supports individuals and communities impacted by substance use and structural violence. Harm Reduction is a best-practice model in healthcare and social services, particularly for BIPOC individuals affected by the War on Drugs. This approach goes beyond needle distribution, focusing on how systems often shaped by colonialism and racism-create harm for marginalized groups. All workshops are delivered through an anti-oppression and anti-racism lens, emphasizing justice, human rights, and positive change.

New Directions

MACCP in partnership with New Directions, offers an Advanced Mental Health training series to support staff and leaders in addressing complex mental health needs. This 3-day non-consecutive training series provides in-depth knowledge and strategies for working with individuals facing challenges such as psychosis, schizophrenia, complex trauma, PTSD, FASD, and other conditions involving significant cognitive and emotional dysregulation. 

Transformative Relational Consultation and Training

MACCP, in partnership with TRCT, offering training in the Purposeful Use of Daily Life Events (DLE) to enhance the effectiveness of those who work directly with young people and their families. This training focuses on utilizing everyday events as opportunities to connect with established goals, fostering a more holistic, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach.

Klinic

MACCP), in partnership with Klinic, offers a workshop designed to explore the definition of trauma and vicarious trauma, as well as their impact on both the mind and body. This workshop helps service providers in caring professions understand the warning signs and risk factors of vicarious trauma and provides strategies for addressing and protecting against its effects. Participants will engage in mindfulness activities to experience practices that can mitigate the impact of trauma.

Rising Star Safety

MACCP, in partnership with Rising Star Safety, offers a comprehensive food and worker safety training course. This course covers essential topics such as foodborne illness, food receiving and storage, food preparation, serving, and cleaning and sanitizing. It meets the requirements set by Manitoba Health for food handlers. Upon successful completion, each attendee will receive a certificate, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to maintain a safe and hygienic food handling environment.
